Roger of course still fighting to survive. By Tuesday it was evident his heart is no longer strong enough and able to keep up the wait. He became very sick very fast and has survived a 9 hour surgery yesterday – major heart surgery to have a device implanted in the left ventricle – Ventricular assist device – LVAD. This device is now pumping his blood through his heart and getting oxygenated blood to his body. If all goes well the LVAD will support his heart function while waiting for a transplant. He is very sick and in critical condition – his will to live, excellent medical care and your prayers have gotten him this far. He has a long, hard road ahead but his determination can’t be beat. It means so much to him to see the continued love and support from family and friends – thank you.
Love from California to another boy from SW VA.
