The expression “pay it forward” is used to describe the concept of asking the beneficiary of a good deed to “repay” it to others instead of to the original benefactor. Specifically, the creditor offers the debtor the option of “paying” the debt forward by lending it to a third person instead of paying it back to the original creditor. Debt and payments can be monetary or by good deeds. A related type of transaction, which starts with a gift instead of a loan, is alternative giving.
It goes hand and hand with the concept of doing your good deeds in private that you may be rewarded openly. There is no reward in doing your good deeds in public for all to see what you have done. To be blessed by such act you must not do it for man to see. It has to be done from your heart and secretly. In that way Karma, God or other spiritual forces that we believe in will see our good deeds and bless us openly for all to see that it was not by might nor by power but by the spirit of giving.
Pay it forward. The art of giving or helping someone else and it does not have to be someone you know.
So, the secret of you being blessed is to bless others. It is an old concept. When you’ve been blessed…pass it on.
Been doing this for……years. Actually, I’m being quite selfish because when I do pay it forward, I get a good feeling. :)
