DEAR PUBLIX, IT’S ME NOT YOU …..

Ansley PublixDear Ansley Publix,

I realized this week that our relationship just isn’t working out. It’s me not you. I admit to seeing others. When North Ave, Plaza Midtown and Atlantic Station stores opened closer to the house I snuck behind your back to shop. But I always came back. Your front of the house associates are “best in class.” I always feel like I am visiting with friends.

But for the third time this month you haven’t had what should be a daily stocked product. I believed you the first time when you told me Publix no longer stocked a Carolina Pride product until I stopped into Plaza Midtown and was told it is a standard stocked product. I was taken back when I asked a question in the produce department and was told NO. So I was shocked the other day in the meat department when I couldn’t find what I was looking for and was told. “Nobody buys it anyway,we just throw it away when it expires. ” I stood there with my mouth open. At that moment I realized you think I’m a nobody.

BTW …. looking at the expiration date on the package I bought at another store this “NOBODY” actually would have bought 8 before the expiration date.

So it’s me not you. I got too comfortable seeing you 4 or 5 times a week and I guess expected too much from “MY” Publix; especially since you classify customers as “NOBODY.”

sincerely,

I miss my Wegman’s. I had a similar experience at Safeway. I don’t go there anymore. Actions and attitudes have consequences.
