In addition a friend pointed out to me it’s effective to grab a hand wipe at the entrance of the grocery store. (which I already do and usually discard in the produce section.)
Hand Sanitizer should be in the console of your vehicle. It is a stop gap measure against germs when washing your hands after doing the following tasks is not feasible.
A test by the CDC in Atlanta showed a higher concentration of bacteria and germs on gas pump handles and buttons on ATM machines than any other surface associated with the spread of germs and yes including the toilet at the BP.
A small bottle of Hand Sanitizer can be bought just about everywhere for less than a dollar and possibly could save your life !
You are SO RIGHT! Bill always insists that I wipe my hands after pumping gas. We have a huge container of Wipes in our car. Thanks for posting this excellent advice. :)
